Frequently Asked Questions

Monthly Fees are calculated as weekly fees x 52 ÷ 12 months

Fees are paid monthly and are due on the first of the month, for the month ahead.

You will still need to pay for you registered sessions even if your child does not attend as we have to staff sessions up front.

Our preferred method of payment is via bank transfer. We do, however, accept other payments options, including standing order and cash. Please contact us if you are in further education and your college/ university is paying your fees e.g. Student Bursary Support.

Yes, we accept voucher payments from a whole range of different companies: Computershare, Eden Red, Sodexo, Kiddivouchers, Busy Bees, Fideliti, RG Care 4, Childcare Plus and All Save Ltd.

We offer a 5% reduction in fees for the second sibling, as long as they are attending the same sessions. Discounts are not applicable once a funded placement begins e.g. when a child is claiming 2 or 3 year’s old government funding hours due to the way these sessions are funded.

We ask that all payments are made in full and cleared in our accounts by 1st of each month for the month ahead. Failure to do so will result in you incurring late payment charges. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details relating to late or non-payments.

Fees may be different from one month to the next for several reasons: 1 You may have arranged for your child to attend more sessions than normal, either for the month just gone or the coming month, which may alter your monthly total. 2 You may be in credit or arrears. 3 If your child receives Government funding, the amount of funding to which your child is entitled differs each term depending on how many weeks there are in that term. Monthly totals will be greater in terms with fewer weeks and less in terms with more weeks.

Yes, we offer places for children with 2 and 3 plus funding for 15 and 30 hours.

During the term following your child’s third birthday, we apply for funding on your behalf. We request that you complete and sign a Parental Statement of Undertaking and provide us with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, which we then share with the Local Education Authority.

Children over the age of 2 and 3 are entitled to 15 hours Government funding per week. However, how many hours you can access at the nursery depends upon the availability of places. Funded hours can be shared access different settings. Please do get in touch if you would like to know more.

Yes; Government funding is available for 2 year olds and is means tested. Please get in touch if you think you might be eligible to check out availability.

If you are interested in joining our team, please email us with your CV and cover letter to explain your interest and relevant qualifications/experience.

For the safety and wellbeing of our children, entry into the nursery is strictly by appointment and invitation only. We understand that parents/carers want to see their children interacting and engaging in the nursery environment, but our prime commitment is to protect the safety and welfare of the children in our care. Unrestricted access to the nursery would seriously compromise the quality of care we can provide. We frequently offer parents and carers the opportunity to attend stay and play sessions as well as family engagement events and open days. The children’s online learning journals provide a great window into their life at the nursery and a great way for you to get involved too. If parents, new or existing, wish to view nursery, we would be happy to make an appointment for you.

We do run a holiday club. Please ring us for more information.

We understand that sometimes you may find yourself needing one-off additional sessions. Whereas it is not strictly our policy to allow additional one-off sessions, we will always do our very best to accommodate your needs. Whether or not we can honor you request largely depends upon our numbers and ensuring we can continue to provide outstanding care for all our children. We may not be able to give you a definitive answer until nearer the day. If you are intending to make a formal and permanent change to your sessions, we require a month’s written notice.

We ask that all children be provided with a set of spare clothes, a warm coat, hat, gloves and scarf when appropriate and a pair of wellington boots. In the summer months, we ask that you provide us with a summer hat for your child that offers suitable protection from the sun and some sun protection cream. Please label everything!!!

We understand that all children experience a degree of ill health at some point. Coughs, colds, and runny noses, while unpleasant and often persistent are part of normal and healthy childhood and there is no need to keep them away. There are however occasions when it is necessary and advisable for your child to remain at home. Such instances include sickness, diarrhoea or illnesses that may affect your child’s ability to cope with the nursery day. For more information please refer to our policies and procedures in relation to sickness and illness.

If your child is unwell and requires medication, we can administer Doctor’s prescribed medicines. You will need to complete a form before the session starts to give us permission and instructions for this.

If you are interested in booking a viewing, we advise you to book early as our viewing spaces fill up very quickly! Contact us via email with the age of the child, a rough start date you had in mind and your preferred days/ sessions. We will contact you to let you know our viewing availability and arrange a date. Please note we are only able to offer morning viewings as the majority of our children sleep at lunchtime/ early afternoon and it is too disruptive to have visitors at this time.

Viewings typically last up to an hour.

The viewing will involve a guided tour of the whole nursery by the manager. You will be told about how the nursery operates, some of the key features of our provision and be given an opportunity to ask as many questions/share as much information as you need in order to ascertain if we are the right place for you and your child.

Just yourselves and your lovely little ones!

Once you have viewed the nursery and decided that it is the place for you and your child we will be happy to register your child at the nursery. You will be given a registration pack during your viewing session that you will need to complete in order to begin the registration process. We also ask for a non-returnable administration payment of £65 at the point of registration. Once we have received your deposit, your place will be secured and we will confirm a start date.

Deposit is calculated at four weeks fees based upon your requested weekly sessions. Please note your registration fee does not form part of your first month’s fees; it is in addition to it.

Your deposit will be used towards the last 4 weeks of your child’s notice period. We reserve the right to retain the deposit if 4 week’s notice of termination of your contact is not given.

We do not take registrations over the phone as we feel that choosing the right nursery for you and your child is such an important decision.

Demand for places is exceptionally high and we are in some cases booking spaces for children 1 year in advance! We would advise you to register your interest as soon as you have decided we are the place for you, even if you are unsure of the exact days/sessions.

During your viewing sessions, you will be given an idea of availability and whether or not you will need to go on the waiting list. This should give you an idea of when your child will be able to start. Upon confirmation of your registration, you will be given a precise start date. We recommend that your child attends settling in session(s) prior to your child’s start date in order to share important information regarding the care of your child and also to help them become more familiar and comfortable with the nursery surroundings. We advise that your child’s settling in session is arranged no more than 2 weeks prior to their start date.
